Saturn Aura Hybrid Review

This is a Saturn Aura hybrid review . The reviewer discusses the appearance, cost, and fuel economy. The results are surprising when compared to the Honda Civic hybrid and Toyota Prius .
The Saturn Aura Hybrid is a sedan which has a very attractive appearance, a great deal of room inside, and comes complete with options available in most vehicles in it’s size category. However, partly because of the fact it’s a mid size sedan, the hybrid benefits are not as significant as you will find on other hybrid vehicles.
The base price of the Aura Hybrid is around $22,000.00 and that includes several nice perks such as a fuel economy gauge and even a standard satellite radio. The price is just low enough to undercut the pricing of several competitors in the hybrid market, but when compared with other vehicles, the Aura does not have the same offerings in terms of performance.
The number one expectation most people have from their hybrid vehicle is a marked difference in fuel economy. Unfortunately, the Aura Hybrid can’t offer a truly dramatic difference in this area. The Saturn company advertises an estimated 34 miles per gallon highway, and many consumers place the number lower than that from personal experience.
When the Aura is compared to other hybrids in its class such as the Camry hybrid , it falls short in most areas according to many consumers. The driving experience, while pleasant, has the unfortunate effect of always letting you know you’re driving a hybrid, due to the sluggish pick up and performance .
Overall, though it’s an adequate car and quite attractive looking, I would personally prefer to spend more money , if at all possible, and get a far superior vehicle.
