Looking for hybrid car dealers ? In this article I cover the topic in the following sections. First, I discuss how hybrid car buying works. Second, I talk about hybrid car brands. Next, I talk about online car purchasing deals. Lastly, I talk about buying hybrid cars through classified advertisements and your local car dealer.

[ad]

Finding Hybrid Dealers For Your Hybrid Car Needs

As more people are becoming open to the technology of hybrid and as more consumers actually buy such kind of cars, the more people are also being curious on how they can buy these cars . Although it may seem to b a new technology, finding cars like these isn’t really that hard to do. In fact, unknown to many, a lot of hybrid dealers are out there, just waiting to be asked for whatever car they have to offer.

How The Deal Works

In reality, finding hybrid car dealers and buying these kind of vehicles is just the same as buying a regular car. Hence, there’s really no problem on where you should go or find deals; simply because theyíre everywhere! Considering the popularity of hybrids nowadays, you wouldn’t have problems in spotting such kind of deals. So, here are some tips on where and how you could find different dealers that can suffice your hybrid car needs.

It’s A New Thing

One thing that you should realize when hunting for a good environmental friendly car is that such kinds of models are relatively new. Hence, they could only be bought from stores that sell them first hand. It would be quite impossible or rather extremely rare for you to find them in stores that sell second hand vehicles. It would also be rare to find someone selling his/her second hand hybrid.

Nevertheless, the good thing is that new dealers are starting to stock them even more each day. This is especially true, since more people are now getting more curious about hybrid vehicles and hybrid car dealers.

Starting With A Brand

Before heading out to look for dealers, it is recommended that you have a car brand in mind . In this way it would be easier to spot deals that are relevant to what you are looking for.

If you’re starting with a brand, thereís really not much to worry about since almost all manufacturers, such as, Toyota , Chevrolet , Nissan, BMW and Ford are all in this kind of industry already. In fact, such companies are getting more pressured each day to produce the best hybrid cars they can create due to the incessant need for alternatives to expensive fuel.

Going For Online Deals

For starters, the Internet would be a pretty good place to start your search for various car deals. This would be highly recommended if you think you’re not up to getting sales talked yet by a car salesman. Additionally, this method would also be helpful in letting you know more first about the features that the vehicle you are eyeing for has.

Nowadays, car deals are very rampant in cyberspace. It is possible for you to find different Web sites on the Internet that has various offers for hybrid cars. In fact, you could even get different quotations for various dealers. However, you should understand that the key to getting a good deal online is by having good research skills.

Try your best to get to know more info on the car that you want. You could also compare and contrast vehicles that different manufacturers offer. It would also be helpful if you read reviews online, both by experts and consumers to get more realistic feedback with your research. Once you feel that you are well-informed and ready to face a salesman , all you have to do is contact the Web site that you are interested on inquiring with.

Explore Your Newspapers Classified Ads

One classic way of looking for car deals would be your local paper’s classified ads. There are companies that advertise on papers and if theyíre on your locality, then it would really be easy to drop by for a visit. However, you should be wary that you shouldnít look on the second hand section of the ads, since as said earlier, most hybrids are not yet available in that kind of market.

Try Your Local Stores

If youíre looking for first hand experience, then you should try to observe your locality and see where you could find stores that sell cars. You could go directly to the manufacturer’s shop, if there’s any in your place or buy from hybrid dealers. Don’t hesitate to ask them if they have any promos or special offers , especially for hybrid vehicles .

NOTE: Looking for used hybrid cars ?

This article is about picking the best hybrid car possible, given you budget, fuel economy desires, and general driving needs. First, I explain why people love hybrid vehicles. Second, I talk about fuel economy and hybrid driving comfort. Next, I talk about the Toyota Prius , Honda Civic hybrid, Ford Escape Hybrid and even the Chevy Volt .

Hybrid cars are increasingly popular, as the price of gasoline has gone up and seems unlikely to drop below $2.00 per gallon in the foreseeable future. All hybrid cars have both an electric motor and a gasoline powered engine (hence the name); when the car brakes, the battery is recharged, and when the car idles, the gasoline engine may be shut down.

The appeal of a hybrid car is increased fuel economy , which both saves you money and reduces your environmental impact. As part of an incentive program to switch over to hybrid cars and electric vehicles, there are Federal programs that provide a tax rebate for their purchase; these tax rebates go away after a certain number of qualifying vehicles are sold. Most of the Toyota hybrid vehicles , including the Prius, have sold enough cars that these no longer apply.

With all that said, let’s cover the models that are out there, and what needs they fill.

The Toyota Prius is the dominant hybrid car on the market, it’s the model with the greatest mind share. With mileage in real world situations approaching 45 miles to the gallon, the Prius is the leader in terms of raw fuel economy. (It’s fuel economy is high enough that it still makes economic sense compared to the closest non hybrid vehicle in its weight range, the Volkswagon Golf). It boasts a comfortable front and rear seat arrangement (though the rear has some legroom issues), and remarkable driver visibility. Its drawback is that it is not, in any way, shape or form, sporty. It’s a perfectly functional box with wheels with excellent gas mileage .

If you’re looking for something that won’t set you apart as a greenie, something that has a sense of style that’s a bit more conventional, then the primary choice is the Honda Civic Hybrid . It gains a respectable 5 mpg over its non-Hybrid counterpart, but still costs almost $6,000 more at MSRP. However, it’s still eligible for the tax rebates mentioned above, which helps remove much of the sting. Aside from looks ant styling (it still looks like a midsized car, for example.) it boasts better legroom and its gasoline engine is more powerful than that of the Prius, meaning that it wins on the ‘fun to drive’ standard.

For people who love their SUVs, but can’t abide the gas bill, there are two models of hybrid SUVs on the market; both are good for people who want to haul serious cargo, and get over 16 mpg. (In terms of percentage of increase, most SUVs gain more from a hybrid engine than any other vehicle class, in part because SUVs start with horrible gas mileage, and because they have more space to store batteries.)

The leading hybrid truck in the country is the Toyota Highlander Hybrid , which is really more of an overgrown station wagon than a heavy SUV; even so, the hybrid mechanism adds nearly 10 mpg to the mileage compared to the non-Hybrid version, and it doesn’t lose much in the way of performance.

[ad]

For a full sized SUV, the Ford Escape Hybrid is the only one on the market, and its sales have been dismal, though it gets good reviews as a car. It gains 7 miles per gallon over its non-hybrid counterpart, and has a full SUV-sized carrying capacity. What it also has is a huge sticker shock. More recent models have had plug in ports to let you charge the battery overnight from a wall socket.

The Chevy Volt may be the future of hybrid drive train vehicles. Designed as a plug in hybrid from the get go, the Volt has four electric motors powering the wheels directly, powered by the hybrid batteries , backed up by the small, very efficient gasoline engine powers a generator that refills the battery on the car. Because they could replace the drive shaft and transmission with more battery capacity, the Volt has a cruising range of 30 to 40 miles before it even starts up the gasoline engine. GM is talking about scaling this drive train up to a full sixed truck body vehicle if the Volt does well in the market place.

This article tells you how to pick a hybrid car . If you’re looking for a green vehicle that is great on gasoline, with wonderful MPG, then you should consider a hybrid car

As more people are becoming considerate of the environment, the idea of driving a vehicle less dependent on gas is becoming more popular.

With this idea though, people are wondering how to pick a hybrid car, because they are interested in making the right choice for their vehicle needs as far as the environment go, but also for their lifestyles and wallets.

To choose a hybrid vehicle you should first choose the type of vehicle you need. Take into consideration how many people will be in your vehicle regularly as well as any kind of moving of heavy objects you do regularly. This is a first step when choosing any vehicle, but, while taking this into consideration, think about how each class of vehicle will also affect your gas mileage .

[ad]

You see, each class of hybrid usually has higher mileage per gallon, but is still something you want to consider, if you are trying to decide between a sedan type and an SUV. The difference in the gas mileage can be as high as 30mpg. For instance if you want Toyota hybrids such as the Toyota Prius , for city driving you can expect up to 60 mpg, and for highway driving up to 50mpg. However if you decide to instead go for the Ford Escape the mileage is 36/31. That is a huge difference for two vehicles that carry the same amount of passengers.

The cost of a hybrid is something else you might want to consider when thinking about how to choose a hybrid vehicle. For instance most gas only vehicles cost up to $5,000 less than a hybrid. You will be able to compare the two vehicles you like with their prices when you check for quotes, and in some cases you might be surprised to find that the difference can be as low as $3000.

If you are paying monthly for your vehicle you might want to sit down with calculator and find out if the extra payment of up to $90 a month (using the average $18/$1000 loan) is worth it. For instance the Prius is going to get you almost double the gas mileage you might have with a regular sedan, so you would spend half as much on gas every month. In the long run with the help each vehicle brings for the environment this could, very well, be worth the cost.

In the end no one can tell you exactly how to pick a hybrid car , but if you take these things into consideration you are going to be much happier with your decision to go hybrid, and the vehicle you choose.

Let’s face it…

If you really want to know how to pick a hybrid car then you have to understand your goals. How much money can you spend? What is the hybrid vehicle going to be used for? Are you worried about hybrid car batteries , hybrid maintenance , and hybrid car risks ? If you are, then you might want to wait another 3-4 years until you feel confident in the technology. That trust in hybrids is critical to your well-being and peace of mind.

This article is about used hybrid cars. Advice about hybrid vehicle shopping is provided, including how to handle dealers, decide value, warranties, and understand tax breaks for hybrids.

Used hybrid cars are becoming extremely popular. Hybrid cars are noted for their efficiency and energy saving as they are designed to run on a mixture of gasoline and electricity, mixing in the electricity reduces the need for too much gas. While most of the power is still provided by the gas the electric motor provides the extra push that is needed for acceleration.

Hybrid cars have been quite popular and the technology is still being refined, this means that people want newer models and this means that there are a good number of used hybrid cars on the market. The hybrid car is also known as a green energy car because the combination of fuel and electricity is designed to save energy and electricity is one of the cleanest forms of energy.

When you buy a used hybrid vehicle from a dealer they have to undergo what is known as a CarFax vehicle inspection. The vehicle inspection can provide you with plenty of information about the car before you hand over your money. The test is designed to tell you how many previous owners the vehicle has had and the number of accidents it has been involved in, if any. This is great because you can then decide for yourself whether or not the car is worth buying.

[ad]

One of the drawbacks of buying used hybrid vehicles is that there is no tax credit on used hybrid cars so if you want that credit then you will have to buy a new vehicle. Your hybrid car cost is offset by the money that you will save in fuel. Hybrid car owners regularly get fifty miles to the gallon out of their vehicle, which is a good cash saving on fueling a conventional car. When the hybrid vehicle is started and the motor is idle then the gas engine is turned off and the vehicle is running on electricity alone. Not only does your car use less fuel, it also runs a lot more quietly than normal vehicles. Some hybrid cars rely almost entirely on electricity although it does mean that you may not drive as far because of the difficulties of charging the vehicle.

While used hybrid cars may be extremely popular, largely because they seem to run a lot better and have less problems than non-hybrid used cars they are not that cheap . A 2oo5 Ford Escape hybrid with forty thousand miles on the clock will still set you back around $18,000. However, some companies offer a warranty that covers the battery on a used hybrid for up to ten years so perhaps it is not so expensive after all and may be the reason why there are not that many used hybrid cars around.

This article is about hybrid car rentals. It covers topics like hybrid vehicle rental market growth, types of hybrids available for rental, cost of hybrid car rentals per week, and general issues with green car rentals.

For those people who want to have the fun of driving a hybrid car , you may find that rental hybrid cars are the answer. The selection of different rental cars has grown substantially over the years, including trucks and sport utility vehicles. But recently, car rental agencies have tapped into the hybrid car market.

They have found that many of their customers who drive hybrid cars would like to rent the same kind of car when on vacation . Other people that do not own a hybrid have been asking rental car companies to offer such vehicles so they can try them the next time they need to rent a car. It has long been a rental car policy that they provide cars that are popular with the public and at the present time, hybrid cars are the hot vehicles.

Rental hybrids are a big draw and can generate a lot of revenue so rental car companies have started to supply these hybrid vehicles to their customers in limited numbers. Enterprise Rent-A-Car currently has around three thousand hybrid vehicles available for rent .

[ad]

These hybrid vehicles include both the hybrid Toyota Prius and the Nissan Altima hybrid . The cost to rent one of these vehicles through the Enterprise agency depends on current discounts being offered and the length of the rental contract.

The overall price of these cars is on par with the top dollar rental categories. Hybrid car rentals and luxury car rentals are similar in pricing. Forgoing any discounts, you can expect to rent a hybrid, like the Prius, for around three hundred and fifty a week. This rental estimate is dependent on the location and other criteria. Other rental car companies such as Avis and Hertz also offer the Prius and Altima . These are often thought to be two of the best hybrid cars available.

It is expected that the Toyota Camry Hybrid, Ford Escape Hybrid , and GMC Yukon hybrids will be available from rental car companies in the near future. Renting hybrids is a new segment for car rental companies, so the selection is limited, but with heavy demand, it is expected that this market will be expanding quickly.

A drawback of renting a hybrid is the cost. These are small cars with a limited amount of interior room. The cost of renting them is $45-70 dollars a day. Other similar sized cars are much cheaper. The cost of the hybrid car rentals is more in line with some of the top luxury models. Some people do not see the added value of renting hybrid cars for fuel savings because the basic rental cost is higher.

Another problem is seen in the low availability for hybrid car rentals. While most of the national car rental chains have some hybrid models in their inventory, it is difficult to lock one in for your reservation. Most rental car companies, like Hertz, only has a handful of hybrids at selected rental points. If you want to rent a hybrid while on vacation, you had best reserve yours now.

Due to the heavy popularity of these cars and the curiosity factor, reservations for most of these are booked solid for weeks and months at a time. If you do plan to rent a hybrid vehicle, you will need to make an advance reservation to hold your selection. If you hope to show up at a car rental agency and have a lot of hybrid vehicles available on the spot you will be in for a disappointment.

The Ford Escape Hybrid may just prove to be the cat’s meow for today’s hybrid car shopper. Considering the small fortune required to fill up one’s tank, many people are considering alternative means of getting around, including the gas-sipping hybrid vehicles being produced today.

Did you know that the Ford Escape Hybrid was the first production hybrid SUV to hit the market? Indeed, Ford has the right to boast about its expertise in the hybrid vehicle industry. And, the recently redesigned Ford Escape Hybrid has plenty to offer, and it is evident that the car manufacturer has had experience building a respectable hybrid

Is there a better reason to consider the purchase of a hybrid vehicle than the positive implications it would have on your pocket book? I would say no, but I’m just speculating here. Compared to it’s gasoline counterpart, the Ford Escape Hybrid offers a significant increase in fuel economy, even when compared to the four cylinder, gasoline version. Offering a very respectable 29 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, the Escape Hybrid’s anti-guzzling tendencies rival many traditional economy type vehicles. And when you consider that the four cylinder Escape gets 19 mpg and 25 mpg, city and highway respectively, it is clear that the difference is significant.

What is even more admirable is the fact that the Hybrid’s engine, rated at 177 horsepower, is slightly more powerful than the gasoline version’s 171 horsepower output. Now, I’m not implying that you will be winning many drag races with either of these vehicles, however, the Hybrid does have ample power for comfortable and confident city commuting, while keeping pace on the freeways.

[ad]

To get a better feel for the potential savings you would realize from the Escape Hybrid, you need not look further than the “range” of each vehicle, that is, the distance you can travel on one tank of gas. Ford specs show that the gas version’s tank has a fuel capacity of 16.5 gallons, while the Hybrid will max out at roughly 15.1 gallons. Get ready to be shocked… The gas version will take you 313 miles on a tank of gas, while the Hybrid can travel from Phoenix to Los Angeles and have a little left over, or about 437 miles, on a single tank. In a word… Wow!

There are more and more hybrid vehicles being offered by various manufacturers, seemingly on a daily basis. You may be wondering how the Ford Escape Hybrid stacks up versus the competition . I would encourage you to do your own research, but I can tell you that having read many reviews from many different sources, the Escape Hyrbid has made quite an impact. And while some reviews seem to fall a bit short of expectation, the general sentiment of those who have actually taken the plunge and purchased this vehicle all seem to praise it

While Edmunds.com gives the SUV a 7.5 “Editor’s rating”, the consumer ratings soar to 9.4 as determined by daily drivers of the vehicle. The general consensus is that the vehicle is built solidly with quality materials. Further reinforcing this sentiment, JD Power gave the Ford Escape Hybrid 4/5 in initial build quality – not too shabby by any means. I don’t think it would be a stretch to infer, based on the similar opinions offered across the board, that Ford has put out a very respectable, high-quality product in the Escape Hybrid .

Uh, oh… sounds expensive. Truth be told, the Hyrbrid is a little bit pricier than its gas-powered brother , however the money you save at the pump will likely offset the difference and then some. While the base price of the gas version is around $20,100, the comparable Hybrid will set you back about $29,300. Those prices reflect 2009 model year, FWD, entry versions of each vehicle. Indeed the price difference may seem a bit extreme, but it is understandable and justified for a couple of reasons.

First of all, vehicles are worth as much as the consumer public is willing to pay. If Ford can fetch just shy of thirty grand for the Escape Hybrid, then they’d be crazy not to charge that much.

Secondly, in the grand scheme of automotive history, hybrid technology is still relatively new . Just as the price of a plasma television has dropped dramatically in recent years, so too will the price of hybrids as they become more mainstream. At least the hybrid vehicles do actually save you money in the long term. Depending on how much you drive, it might even be conceivable that the Ford Escape Hybrid shows you a return on your investment much sooner than later.

So, where do you buy one? The Ford Escape Hybrid is a vehicle in considerably high demand . As such, you won’t be able to go down to your local Ford dealership and have fifty to choose from, as is the case with most mass production vehicles.

With that said, I have checked a couple of dealerships, even in smaller markets, and most will have at least a handful on the lot. It goes without saying, but it is clear that the supply is not meeting the demand, so if you do go shopping for this admirable little beauty, don’t expect an abundance of choices. If you’re willing to wait for exactly what you want though, you can always order one exactly as you desire, or have your local dealership do a nationwide search in order to possibly locate your ideal Escape Hybrid .

The bottom line is that you could do much worse than a Ford Escape Hybrid, and I’m fairly certain that if you were to ask anyone who has one, he or she would tell you that it is every penny’s worth the price of admission.
